Returning students include: 

• All students that were active at the end of last school year:


• Students returning to the Early Learning Development Center (ELDC) for PreKindergarten and Early Childhood


• Students enrolled at ELDC who will be entering Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year


• Students enrolled at an elementary school (5th grade) and continuing to 6th grade at the middle schools


• Students enrolled at the middle schools (8th grade) and continuing to DeKalb High School


*If your student was withdrawn from DeKalb School District and therefore considered INACTIVE, please contact your former school office or the District Registrar at [email protected] to have your Skyward Family Access login reset before you can complete the New Student Online Registration to re-enroll your student in the district.

Moving?

• For changes to guardian phone numbers, email addresses or emergency contacts, call or email your student's school office personnel.
  
  
• If you have not moved or will not be moving prior to the start of the school year, please continue with returning student registration.
  
  
• If you have moved or will be moving prior to the start of the school year, you must provide updated proof of residency documents (Arabic/Spanish) to the District Registrar prior to completing the Returning Student Registration.

1. Submit a Change of Address Online form found in Skyward Family Access (one form per family). Electronic proof of residency documents must be uploaded within the form (preferred method for quicker approval)
2. Email your updated proof of residency documents as described below to [email protected]
3. Bring your proof of residency documents to our district office, located at 901 S 4th St, DeKalb.   Once your address has been updated, you will be notified that you can continue with completing Returning Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year.
