CoSN Volunteer Hall of Fame

IT Director Ben Bayle recognized for industry volunteer service excellence

Ben Bayle, director of information technology, for the District has been selected for induction into the the CoSN 2026 Volunteer Hall of Fame. CoSN, the Consortium for School Networking, is a professional association for K-12 education technology leaders. The Association represents more than 2,000 school districts with chapters in 39 states and works to equip technology leaders, their teams, and school districts with the community, knowledge, and professional development they need to cultivate engaging learning environments.

Involved with the organization for more than a decade, the honor reflects the energy and commitment Bayle has demonstrated in advancing CoSN’s mission and supporting the broader education technology community, in particular for his work on the Driving K-12 Innovation Advisory Board and the Editorial Committee. Bayle will be recognized with other inductees at the CoSN Annual Conference in Chicago on April 14. 

Bayle serves as the Director of Technology, a position he's held since 2016, bringing more than 20 years of experience in EdTech. He's led the District's work with Google, earning the distinction of being a Google Reference District in 2016 for its work with 1:1 technology. Bayle is also active with IETL(Illinois Educational Technology Leaders) since 2016 and is currently an Executive Board Member. Bayle has worked with CoSN as a Driving K-12 Innovation Advisory Board Member for multiple years, as well as an EdTech advocate at the Federal and State levels, a CETL(Certified Educational Technology Leader) since 2019 and member of MS-ISAC and InfraGard cybersecurity units since 2016.
