Confirmed case of Whooping Cough being addressed by DeKalb County Health Department

District 428 has been notified by the
DeKalb County Health Department of a confirmed case of Whooping Cough (Pertussis) in an individual who was in attendance at the middle school band camp held in late July. The DeKalb County Health Department is in contact with families of those who may have been exposed and providing further instruction to ensure everyone's health and mitigate the spread of the respiratory infection. District 428 has no additional information and strictly follows all
HIPPA Privacy Rules and
School Board Policy 7:100 Health, Eye and Dental Examinations; Immunizations; and Exclusion of Students.
