School Board Meetings move to 6 p.m. start time in July
Beginning with the start of the 2024-2025 school year, regularly scheduled DeKalb CUSD 428 School Board meetings will begin at 6 p.m. If there is a scheduled closed session, the meetings will start at 7 pm. Meeting times and locations are subject to change. Board Agendas are published at least 48 hours in advance of the regularly scheduled meeting and will include the exact meeting location and times.
The Board of Education meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month and will meet at the Education Center Board unless otherwise noted. The 2025-2025 School Board Meeting Calendar is available here.

Open Session meetings will start at 6 p.m. unless there is a scheduled closed,
which moves the meeting start time to 7 p.m.
Members of the public who wish to address the Board should complete a request card prior to the meeting. This section of the meeting will be reserved for comments from the public. All comments should be limited to 3 minutes. Criticism of individuals is not in order.
