
On Monday, November 10, Clinton Rosette Middle School held their annual Veterans Day Celebration, continuing a more than 20 year tradition.
Nine veterans, including DeKalb High School alumnus and Vietnam War veteran Edward Higgins, were treated to brunch and took part in classroom discussions and an assembly, which included patriotic performances by both the band and choir.
The event made front page news in DeKalb's Daily Chronicle. "I thought it was a very positive experience for the students," Principal Brant Boyer told the Chronicle, "and a good way to celebrate a few of our local veterans." Read the full article here.
